As you may already know our resident Bimmerpost member “alynm3” has just picked up the Fashion Grey F80 M3 build from “Biglare”. Although this build was beautiful in its own right, Chad’s goals with this one was to “set it as far apart from the previous build as possible.”

“I wasn’t initially in the market for an F8X M3 but when this very special car came up for sale I couldn’t help but to jump at the opportunity. I appreciate cars that come with a story and this car certainly fit the bill for a very cool story. The (at the time) one of a kind paint color and the unmistakably one of a kind interior made this a very special car in my mind. It wasn’t something that I would ever see driving down the street next to me and I absolutely had a great appreciation for that element of exclusivity.

My first step with the car was to design and build a one off set of wheels for the car. I reached out to my good friend James “Floss Design” Camarador who has built multiple sets of wheels for me. We discussed building the biggest, widest, baddest set of BBS LM’s that had ever been installed on an M3. Converted from 2-piece to 3-piece, I decided on satin black faces with gloss black lips and gold hardware to match the BBS center cap logo and also tie in nicely with the gold calipers of the carbon ceramic factory brakes. Stemless valves and a Titanium Stud Conversion kit were added to pull the look together. The execution of the fitment of the wheels is exactly what I had hoped for. There are literally millimeters separating the inner fender well and the outer fender edge from the massive 20X12 inch rear wheels and the 305 Michelin rubber. The rear arches sit low on the wheels through a KW HAS coilover kit.” – Chad

We then went about setting Chad up with one of every product we made for the M3. Within a few weeks we had a Mode Carbon Trophy S1 Front Spoiler, Trophy R2 Rear diffuser, Full Seat Shells with Headrests, and a GTS Front Spoiler shipped to his home. Our products were a perfect compliment to the carbon accents from the factory.
